My name is Jonathan. I live on the southside of the metro Atlanta area. I made tie dye in my late teens/early 20s, though it was nothing more than craftstore swirl and sunburst kits. I put it down and didn’t think of it for years until I met my wife about 15 years later. She suggested we do a tie dye day with our kids. This ignited a curiosity in me as i fell down the rabbit hole of the interweb looking at all the things people can do with tie dye. I’ve been making stuff ever since and learning mainly through trial and error (emphasis on the Error). I get tips from folks in the tie dye community when I can and youtube has helped to a certain extent. As of writing this section I have done over 600 projects, maybe more? who knows, I don’t keep track anymore.
I’m a follower of jesus and I try to live my life accordingly. I strive to be honest in my business dealings , keep a fair price, and diminish greed. WE have enough greed and corruption with the big coorporations who thrive off of exploitation to go around; we don’t need anymore. 10% of proceeds for anything I sell go towards the monthly food bank we do at the church I attend.
